Wow, I can't believe that it's already the last blog post. Time really files!
This class is really useful for me to improve my writing skills so I'd like to thank Ryan for teaching me well.
And I wish all my class mates the best of luck ^^

'I Am a Singer' ignites fever

      “I Am a Singer,” an MBC reality survival show in which famous Korean singerscomete each other is soaring in popularity higher and higher.   It catch grea tattention from the viewers as it brought top singers to the program and someone must be eliminated each week after performence. A month ago, there were some trouble about the program rules, and it was changed and returned, but it is still controversial. This program have had great influence on Korean pop world and society. So-la Lee moved many viewers, performing  BoA's NO.1. BoA was so moved by the modern rock style of her song as well that she wrote on her Twitter.  "I got goose bumps from Lee So-ra’s ‘No. 1.’ Thank you for a great reinterpretation of the song. It stimulated me in the morning,”  

       I am an one of the people who enjoy this program. Nowadays these kind of survival program are being produced a lot. I think it seems that it reflects our competitive society. The reason why people are enthistiastic by this program is someone should be eliminated. Without this rule, people would not have been interested a lot like this , I think.

#8 Compare and Contrast: Two Products or Two Restaurants

Outback & VIPS

       Both Outback and VIPS are the most popular family restaurant. They serve western dishes such as steak and pasta or something.  It is sort of expensive for students to eat there,buy you can enjoy their delicious food cheapily at a reduce price for lunch time. In addition, they offer many discount and  such as using membership card or coupon. Almost every woman likes these place but many men do not like to go there.
      Even though both are mainly sell steak, the difference between the two is that there is salad bar which is freely available if you order it just once in VIPS only. However, it is supposed to order dish at least one per a head at VIPS, but you do not have to do so at Outback. Outback offer bread which is called  "Bushman bread" unlimetedly for free. And another difference is that Outback is American Brand while VIPS is Korean's.
      It is difficult to say which is the better for me, because I like both restaurants. However I'd like to recommend VIPS, if you want to try a variety of food and want to enjoy sea food.

#7 Compare and Contrast : Two Places

    Both Jeju-do and Chuncheon are the foremost  tourist attractions of Korea. Jeju-do is the most sought out honeymoon for newlywed and Chuncheon is mostly visited by many college students or families.   I visited both places in winter season. In winter, the climate of Jeju-do is kind of warm while Chuncheon is so cold that many people go there to enjoy skiing or boarding in winter season. I also took snowboarding when I visited Chuncheon.  At Jeju-do I enjoyed horse-riding, admiring beautiful scenery of sea and mountain around Jeju-do. And in Chuncheon I could see nice view of lake.
   The most famous tourist attraction of Jeju-do is Olle Roads and Nami-island is the best place of Chuncheon. Both places have gorgeous landscape and the local foods are so delicious. If you go Jeju-do, you should try black pork as well as Hanrabong which is local fruit of Jeju. Chuncheon is famous for chicken galbi and Makguksu which is noodle made of buckwheat. Even I have traveled Chuncheon for eating those local foods.

#6 For the Sake of Argument Part II

     Some people say that it is impossible to support all the free meal service within this budget. However, if the government cuts unnecessary budget ,such as money for advertisement of city hall to show off thier achivements , we can make budget for free meal service enough. The Jellabuk-do is ranked in 15th in the Self-Reliance Ratio of Finance, but in 1st in supprting budget for the free meal service. On the other hand, Seoul has the biggest budget, but is is ranked in 15th in supporting the free meal service. This is not the matter of money but the matter of will.
    Compared to the nations of OECD which allocated twenty percent of GDP to welfare budget, our spending on the  wefare was too low which was only nine percent of GDP in 2009.
    The main purpose of this free meal service is to encourage poor students to eat free lunch without any sense of incompatibility and they do not need to mind other students.

#5 For the Sake of Argument

Free Meal Service

        The superintendent of education in Seoul, Kwak Noh-hyun, was elected by pledging free meal service for schools in election of 2010. The Progressive Party of Korea, Minju Party, insist that the free meal service should be enforced for all students.  However, there are many objections to the argument. I am also opposed to overall free meal service because it is doubtful whether the service would be effect as they expected.
        I think they did not consider actuality such as budget and sentiment of public, but they were only in chase of public popularity. Though the free meal service for elementary school has been started since March 2, there are many dissapointed voices from parents of students, and the problem of quality is rising. The tight budget should cause the lowing quality.
       They expeted that the free meal service can reduce the sense of incompatibility for the low-income group children, but it also does not go effect. Some students say to the poor students that you can eat the lunch for my money, so they get emotional injury.
      The purpose of this free meal service should be to make children happy, but it seemed not to be effet. Some parents say that they can sign up ro one more educational institute by the money which they can save from the free meal service. It can cause the gap of education too between the children who are in low-income group and the others.
     I wonder if the free meal service for all students is truly for the poor children. I think the better way can be thought instead of that. The free meal service for limited students is enough. We do not have to pay for the children who do not need that.

#4 A Short Personal Story

 I was about to vomit during my meal.
While I was eating dinner, my brother came to me and told a certain girl who had been broadcasted by Martian's Virus. The story was that she has never brushed her teeth for ten years. It was too disgusting becasue he told the story in detail with visual contents.  I lost my appetite but he was still going on his words.
How can I imagine such a girl ? It sounds terrible !
